So I came across this nifty little app on the Japan iTunes App Store.
Each ‘alarm’ costs 250 JPY, and once you make the in-app purchase, you just choose which SKE member you want to wake you up, set the time and snooze, and let her tuck you into bed. Yes, it’s a short clip of your chosen member saying ‘Oyasuminasai!’ or ‘I’ll try my best!’ or something to that effect (each member has some 3-4 phrases each). Go to sleep, and you’ll have the member yelling at you to wake up (a looped audio clip) when the time comes. Wake up on time, and you’ll be greeted by a short clip of your chosen member wishing you a very Good Morning (and if you’re lucky, a ‘Let’s do our best for the day ahead!’). Shut the alarm off, however, and when you finally do wake up, she’ll be pissed at you, making frowny faces and pouting because you’re a lazy idiot.
It’s a pretty standard alarm clock app, really (and if I may add, a total ripoff. Not to mention only a select small handful of members are available, some of whom have already graduated, since it is a pretty old app). But for some reason it’s been a lot more effective in getting me to wake up on time than other alarms I’ve tried before.
